Welcome to Innobedded!
We provide innovative software development tools, libraries, and services around the Microsoft .NET Micro Framework that enable you to develop better embedded applications faster.

What is the Microsoft .NET Micro Framework?

The .NET Micro Framework is a small and efficient .NET runtime environment used to run managed code on devices that are too small and resource constrained for Windows CE and the .NET Compact Framework.
The .NET Micro Framework enables you to write embedded applications for small, connected, embedded devices with Visual Studio and C#. That means you can now use the same development tools and language that you use to build desktop and smart device (PDA and smartphone) applications to develop applications for microcontrollers. The .NET Micro Framework also provides an extensible hardware emulator for rapid prototyping and debugging.
You can use all editions of Visual Studio 2008, including the free Express Edition. The .NET Micro Framework SDK is owned and maintained by Microsoft. With version 4.0, Microsoft will make even the source code available. This results in a powerful and continuous, but open and free development platform for embedded applications.

Programming embedded user interfaces on micro controllers using WPF
The Rich Media Extensions are a innovative component suite that allows software developers to create graphically compelling and highly intuitive user interfaces for embedded applications that are based on the Microsoft .NET Micro Framework.
The library includes a set of complete Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) elements and controls that are based on the existing UIElement class of the .NET Micro Framework.

But our WPF controls are:

  • more complete than existing builtin WPF controls
  • aligned with Desktop WPF
  • usable with buttons and/or finger friendly touchable
  • standard controls and new ones
  • fully themeable
